IT’S GREAT TO MEET YOU

I’m Laurent

I’ve been guiding group rides and arranging bike tours on the island since 1994, so you could say I’m a bit of an expert! I’ve raced on pretty much every kind of terrain or track you can think of, but nothing beats Lanzarote’s diverse landscape and scenery for cycling.

There’s a freedom in cycling, it takes you away from your cares and your troubles, the stresses of work. It’s a chance to get back to nature, feeling the wind on your face, the adrenaline as you push up the hills and exhilaration as you glide back down the other side.

Cycling’s introduced me to so many amazing people who I now call friends. When you share the passion, the challenges, adventures and sweat with a group of people, you have a bond that breaks through language barriers, and stands the test of time. Come and join us.

It all started when I was 6

On a bike from my neighbour that was way to big for me. It wasn’t until I turned 10 years old that I got my own two-wheeler and started to race. Since then, it’s just become part of my identity.

8 summers as a Tour de France VIP guide

Ok, so maybe I wasn’t racing, but I was part of the biggest event of the year arranging exclusive trips where VIP’s got to meet the CSC Saxo Bank team and their top riders in unique locations and (cycling) events.

Amabubesi - 5 times Absa Cape Epic finisher

When you finish this famous MTB race 5 times you become part of the Amabubesi Club, meaning “Pride of lions” in Zulu. I guess I can relate to this name after a total riding of 3974 kilometers in this physically grueling and mentally demanding stage race in South Africa.
